After an eventful regional weekend, where the NCAA Division I Softball tournament 2025 was spent in abundance, now goes to the Super Regional round. One of the eight super regional games for this weekend is a matchup between No. 5 Florida State and No. 12 Texas Tech.

The seminols (49-10) were the runner-up at the 2025 ACC soft ball tournament. The state of Florida went 3-1 in the Tallahassee last weekend, defeated Robert Morris and USF and split the last two games against Auburn to get into this round.

Texas Tech (48-12) occurs in this round as Big 12 softball tournament champions. The Red Raiders, led by Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, Nijaree Canady, swept their region and only allowed seven runs from their opponents in three games.
