Sister Sadie “Do what you want” – Americana UK

The new video of two grammy-nominated sister Sadie looks so much fun. Directed by Joshua Britt and Neilson Hubbard, there is a party atmosphere, especially at the end when the group is accompanied by friends and shares the love and connection that the song demands. With direct texts and a relaxed Bluegrass style, “Do what you want” is a relaxed hymn for everyone who wants to go their own way: “I learned a secret // that worked for me // You are damn if you do this // you are damn if you are not //, and you will never be happy // if you don't do what you want.” Free, loose violin and light, bright mandolin are played with a feeling of great joy over the warm melodic stand-up bass.

The song comes from the upcoming new album “Everything will be fine”which is to be published on June 27, 2025. The follow-up by 2024s Best Bluegrass Grammy-nominated “No fear” Promises to deliver well -made songs, show the sister Sadie's fine musicality. Deanie Richardson, the award -winning Fiddler and founding member of the band, says about the new album: “We didn't go to record a Bluegrass meeting with the 1990s. In the course of the record, however, it quickly became my favorite plate that I have ever done. Every song is personally for everyone.” Co-founder and award-winning banjo player Gena Britt adds: “This album was so much fun to record. These incredibly talented women are unbelievable, and it is an honor for me to be on this trip with you. From production to the stage, these songs with all of us agree. And we can hardly wait for the world to share this trip with us.”

The band was founded after a unique jam session at Nashville's Station Inn. The six talented musicians in Sister Sadie discovered their undeniable chemistry and did not look back. This is a fresh, new version of this traditional Bluegrass sound – you enjoy.
