Funeral balances planned for the Clark Atlanta graduate, which was killed at the shootout in California

Material services were killed in the police for a graduate of Clark Atlanta.

Family and friends will gather in Atlanta next week to the life of Dr. Comisha Denise Clark.

The background story:

Dr. Clark was recently promoted to dean for student matters at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Inglewood, California.

On Friday, May 2, the police, the former Spartan -Wachmann Jesse Figueroa, returned to college in security clothing and shot Clark and her assistant.

While a potential motive for fatal violence was not published, the police have called a targeted shootout in the direction of execution.

Figueroa was charged as a criminal for murder, attempted murder and several charges for possession of a firearm. He also sees improvements to the weapons meetings, which can lead to additional punishments if a weapon is used during a crime.

Figueroa will appear in court on May 29 and faces a maximum sentence in the state prison if he is convicted as accused.

What we know:

The family announced that a public tour of Clark will take place on May 26 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Smith, Dennis-Smith Funeral Home on Campbellton Road in Atlanta.

The day after the public inspection, the family will hold the funeral at 11 a.m. in the Cascade United Methodist Church in the Cascade Road.

She is buried in Willow Lake Memorial Gardens in Fort Valley, Georgia.

The family asked that words of comfort and flowers are sent to the church or the funeral home. Pink crosses, white wreaths, white hearts and white standing sprays would be deeply valued.

Just two months before her murder, the School of Education at Clark Atlanta University on Clark was a “triple panther” for her phenomenal career. In her Instagram post, the three-time alumnus was highlighted, which has acquired her degree, master and educator doctoral students from CAU, and even worked on a point on college.

The granddaughter of the former interim provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Clarks Life, was bound to Atlanta University. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, integrated and was introduced to the Alpha Pi chapter in CAU. She was also a former CAU -chicker leader.

A week after her death, the school terminated the creation of Dr. Comisha Clark scholarship fund, which will help support students who follow the Clark when studying education.
