Charlotte council member talks about “political attack” against her

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – Charlotte Council member Tiawana Brown will publicly speak on Thursday morning about what she calls her “political attack”.

According to a press release, Brown characterized the attack as a “deliberate” effort, to impair their re -election and to silence her voice.

“I am not here to be brought to trial in the media,” said Brown. “However, I have to enter into the allegations against myself through the district court of the United States. I will have my day in court and trust the procedure.”

The allegations come from events that Brown said, occurred four to five years before she took office.

Brown emphasized that the allegations “do not reflect their current role, values ​​or their service for the community”.
