Saginaw area sports highlights: Breckenridge Sweepeps MSAC Track Title

Breckenridge swept both championships and dominated the meeting of the conference in the middle state on Wednesday in Breckenridge.

The Breckenridge boys took first place with 124 points and moved with 117.

The Breckenridge Girls ended with 170 points to the Merrill Fifth (41), St. Charles Seventh (37) and Coleman Neez (23) to Snare the League title.

Zander Mapes went to the huskies and claimed the shot with a throw of 47 feet, 5½ inches and the discus at 139-8. Anthony Rowe added a victory in the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes and 50.99 seconds, with one leg on Breckenridges profit of 1,600 seasons (3: 46.11).

Coleman won two seasons with the same team as Brayden Wright, Collin Stockero, Killian d'Aragnan and Dominic Lawrence the 400 season (: 47.30) and 800 season (1: 39.64).

Breckenridge won three seasons in the girl Meet, with Bayleigh Clapp, Kylo Riedel, Raegyn Mayer and Kayla Goward claimed 400 in: 53.47, while Riedel, da'Sia Denwiddie, Mayer and Goward (1: 53.37). The huskies also won the 3,200 season (11: 45.71).

Clapp added a victory in the 100 (: 13.62), Riedel in the 100 hurdles (: 17.82), Denwiddie in the 300 hurdles (: 49.51) and Mayer in the long jump (16-4).

St. Charles in the second year, Macie Hafner, took first place in the high jump (4-10).

Young golf

TVC Blue: Valley Lutheran won the last Blue Jamboree of the Tri-Valley conference with 319 on the Swan Valley Golf Course, but it was not sufficient for the seasonal championship when Nouvel took the first overall. The Reid Schisler from Valley Lutheran received the medalist with a 73, followed by Tony Villarreal by Valley Lutheran (78), Nouvels Alex McCarthy (80), Valley Lutheran's Nolan Munger (83) and Nouvels Ian Ziegelmann (84). For the season, Valley Lutheran was second, ITHACA third and Hemlock fourth. Schisler, McCarthy, Ziegelmann, Villarreal, Nouvels Ty Iamurri, Nouvels Rodney Iamurri and Jacob Parker from Valley Lutheran were the first team. The winners of the second team were IThacas Harper Merchant and Bryson Lebaron, Hemlocks Cooper Gensch and Nicholas Chasis, Nouvels Drew Carlson and Munger.

Big thumbs: Millington won the title of the Big Thumb Conference on Wednesday at the Verona Hills Golf Course in Bad Axt with 333 strokes, followed by Bad Ax at 339. Brad Coleman led the cardinals to seven against 78, followed by Bryce Martin (80), Landon Germain (86) and gabe dueweke (89).
