Woman who was killed in the Israeli message came from Overland Park

Overland Park, Kan. (KCTV) – Two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington were shot on Wednesday evening when he left an event in a Jewish museum. One of the victims was confirmed as from the Kansas City region.

The American Jewish committee reported on Thursday morning that Sarah Milgrim was shot together with Yaron Lischinsky after the annual reception of AJC's young diplomats.

Milgrim came from Overland Park, Kansas. It was described as “warm and compassionate, committed to the peace consolidation and passion for sustainability and people”.

Her tasks included organizing visits and missions to Israel.

Milgrim and Lischinsky left an event at the Capital Jewish Museum when the suspect approached a group of four people and opened fire, Pamela Smith, chief of police at Metropolitan, said at a press conference.

The suspect, which was identified as Elias Rodriguez, 31, from Chicago, was on and after the museum before the museum and went to the museum after the shooting and was arrested by the event security, said Smith.
