Yonkers detectives who examine the death of a woman in her apartment as a murder

The death of an older woman in her Yonkers apartment is examined as a murder, the police said.

The 79-year-old's body was discovered in the afternoon of May 16 by a superintendent in Bronxville Ridge, 828 Bronx River Road.

The police replied to call an unattended death, but subsequent investigations were determined that the attack was not immediately recognizable, the police spokesman Detective SGT. Frank Didomizio said.

The building's superintendent said news 12 that he was lying on the floor after a plumber reported that she did not answer his calls.

Death is examined by large case detectives. The police did not publish the woman's name and did not provide details about when it was last seen.
