Officials still investigate the cause of a fire on Monday morning, in which several civilians were caught in a Sunset Park building, and claimed a man's life during evacuation.

The units reacted to 3902 9th Ave. Shortly after 7 a.m. on May 19, where they came across heavy flames and fire that stood out of the rear windows on the second floor. The residents hang on the second and third floor of the three -story building with a mixed occupancy from several windows. The tower ladders 114 and 148 as well as Hook and conductor 147 quickly ceased air and floor leaders to reach victims that are caught in heavy smoke.

During the evacuation, a 53-year-old man, who was identified as Uber driver Ashiq Hussain, plunged into his death when a FDNY director suddenly retired among himself. The video material rated by The Outlet shows Hussain, who climbs out of a window on the third floor when smoke turned behind him, waiting for a fireman at the top of a retractable ladder.

When Hussain stepped onto the first shoots of the ladder, the upper section retired, causing him to fall on the awning of a deli before he met the sidewalk. He was brought to the Maimonides Medical Center, where he was declared dead, said a NYPD spokesman.

According to the position, the firefighter on the ladder was able to hold on and stay up to date when the ladder withdrew.

More than 60 firefighters used three hoselines to put down the main body of the fire. There were no additional victims in the entire building. Two other civilians were brought to Maimonides in a stable state, where they were treated for smoke inhalation. A fireman was also treated in the hospital for a leg injury.

An electric bike was found at the crime scene, but it is not assumed that it caused the fire. The fire was explained under control at 8:38 a.m.

FDNY firefighters examine the cause and the origin of the fire, and the department also checks the leaders who have been involved in the rescue that has been taken out since then.

“We are aware of an incident that took place at an all-hand fire in Brookly at the beginning of this week. Like standard practice, we immediately started a proactive examination of the facts and circumstances in connection with the tragic death of a civilian, including our firefighting schools, fire operations and our security division,” said FDNY in a explanation of Brooklyn Papa.
