Crash on Yolo Causeway, which causes the i-80 backup in west in Sacramento

Several vehicles were involved in an accident along the Interstate 80 on the Yolo Causeway in the west on the early Thursday morning, which led to a significant slowdown in the region.

The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the Chile Road exit.

A vehicle seems to be on the dam and was then hit by another vehicle. A large rig was also involved in the crash.

Only minor injuries were reported, but debris were all over the street.

While only one lane of the traffic in front of the Chile Road is blocked, the traffic is slow in the west and goes to the Sacramento County line.
