The meta -analysis underlines the prognostic role of Circpvt1 in solid tumors

Background and goals

Circpvt1 has proven to be the key regulator for the progression of the diseases and the clinical results. However, the prognostic relevance and the association with clinical pathological parameters in solid malignantities still have to be fully informed. To tackle this, we carried out a meta -analysis to clarify the clinical importance of circpvt1 in solid tumors.

Methods

A comprehensive literature search was conducted acroß multiple databases, including pubmed, web of science, embase, the cochrane library, and cnki, with a cutoff date of december 31, 2024. Statistical analyses were Conducted using stata pooled hazard ratios (Hrs) and Odds Ratios (ORS) with 95% confidence intervals (CIS), assessment the impact of circpvt1 Expression on overall survival (OS) and his association with clinical -pathological characteristics.

Results

This analysis included 27 clinical studies, which included a total of 2,219 patients. The increased circpvt1 expression was significantly associated with a poorer OS in patients with solid tumors (HR = 1.68, 95% CI: 1.39–2.02, P <0.001). This association was particularly noteworthy in lung cancer (HR = 2.08, 95% CI: 1.51–2.88, P <0.001) and osteosarcoma (HR = 1.65, 95% CI: 1.38–1.97, P <0.001) with similar trends that were observed in hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer and papillary thyroid carcinoma. In addition, the increased Circpvt1 mirror correlated with a larger tumor size (OR = 1.36, 95% CI: 1.11–1.67, P = 0.004), lymph node metastasis (OR = 1.56, 95% CI: 1.22–2.00 ,, P <0.001), removed metastasis (OR = 1.80, 95% CI: 1.10–2.92, P = 0.017) and advanced tumor node metastasis-stage (OR = 1.84, 95% CI: 1.50–2.25, P <0.001).

Conclusions

Our meta -analysis showed that increased levels of expression of circpvt1 in tumor patients are closely connected to an unfavorable OS. Circpvt1 has the potential to work both as a prognostic indicator and as a molecular goal for solid tumor therapy. Future research should concentrate on the validation of these results in large -scale, multicenter prospective studies in order to further determine the clinical benefits of Circpvt1 in cancer management.
