Patience: PBS announces the premiere of the new crime thriller series series -canceled + renewed television programs, reviews

patience will soon come to PBS. The new crime drama will be a premiere next month, and a trailer that teases the series was released.

Ella Maisy Purvis, Laura Fraser, Nathan Welsh, Mark Benton, Ali Ariaie and Adrian Rawlins play in the series that follows a young autistic woman who uses her unique way to see the world to examine crimes.

“PBS announces the premiere of Patience, an adaptation of the popular French series” Astrid “, which on Sunday, June 15th at 8:00 p.m. ET (local listings). Created by Eagle Eye Drama in connection with Channel 4.

Patience will be available on all PBS platforms, including PBS.org, and the PBS app, which are available on iOS, Android, Roku streaming devices, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV, Chromecast and Vizio. The patience will also be available on PBS Passport and with PBS masterpiece on Prime video.

Patience follows Evans, played by Ella Maisy Purvis (a kind of spark), a neurodive woman who works in the criminal register office in the city of York. Patience is autistic and looks at the world in a unique way. When Detective Inspector Bea Metcalf, played by Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad), recognizes her talents, she takes patience under her wings to help with complex criminal investigations. Together they deal with a number of challenging cases, with patience offers extraordinary insights that changes the way in which crimes are solved.

The ensemble line -up includes Nathan Welsh (The Ledge), Mark Benton (Anna and the Apocalypse), Ali Ariaie (“The Great”), Adrian Rawlins (the Harry Potter franchise) and others.

“Patience brings a new perspective for the PBS audience and our viewers will be fascinated by this trip,” says Maria Bruno Ruiz, Vice President for Program Content Strategy and Planning at PBS. “Patience, an autistic figure of a neurodive actress, shows us new ways of seeing the world and making connections.”

Episode one “Paper Mountain Girl Part 1” – Sunday, June 15th at 8 p.m.

Detective Bea Metcalf is fascinated when patience combines suicide with other cases.

Follow two “Paper Mountain Girl Part 2” – Sunday, June 22nd at 8 p.m.

Bea learns more about the difficult past of Mopience and together they discover a path.

Episode three “The Missing Link” – Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m.

The team leads a body in a museum exhibition into the shady world of the fossil smuggling.

Episode four “The Locked Room” – Sunday, July 6th at 8 p.m.

A best -selling crime writer is dead behind closed doors and everything is not as it seems.

Episode five “My Brother's Keeper” – Sunday, July 13th at 8 p.m.

A body disappears from the corpse hall. Patience has a connection to the case.

Episode six “Pandora's Box”- Sunday, July 20th at 8 p.m.

A man dies on a bus and Bea is warned of the case, but she refuses to stop the investigation.

The patience was adapted and written by Matt Baker (“Hotel Portofino”), Stephen Brady (“Red Election”) and Daniella Devinter (“Before we die”) and staged by Maarten Moerkerke (“dike of the wood”). The series is an Eagle Eye drama title that is produced in cooperation with Channel 4 for PBS -which is currently an average of 4.2 million viewers per episode in the UK and its top drama of the past four years. The film is also produced in collaboration with Happy Duck films and gallop tax protection with the support of the tax home of the Belgian federal government. The patience is produced by Alison Kee and Executive, which was produced by Walter Iuzzolino, Jo McGrath and Dries VOS. The Beta film takes over the international distribution for patience and secured the agreement with PBS distribution for the series. “
