Why 'Covid 2025' trends in us

'Covid 2025' is tended to be in the USA because the Americans react to a great shift in COVID 19-vaccine policy through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This autumn, the FDA is planning to limit vaccine access to people over 65 and people with certain diseases. Healthy adults under the age of 65 can be excluded, unless new studies show strong indications of persistent advantages.

This is a major change compared to previous recommendations that advise annual recordings for everyone from six months.

Now the agency is moving to a “risk -based” strategy, similar to that in other countries with high incomes.

Dr. Vinay Prasad, head of the FDA vaccine department, and Dr. Martin Makary, the commissioner of the agency, defended the change in the New England Journal of Medicine.

“The FDA will approve vaccines for high -risk opera and at the same time demand robust, gold standard data to people with little risk,” they wrote.

In a town hall, Prasad described the new guideline as “appropriate compromises”, in which access with the need for stronger evidence was brought into line.

However, critics warn that the move for many Americans could restrict protection.

“This is excessively restrictive and will refuse many people who want to be vaccinated,” said Dr. Anna Durbin from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Daniel Griffin, a New York doctor, added: “Changes like this will lead to unnecessary deaths.”

Others fear that a new placebo-based studies could delay access to the vaccine and complicate insurance cover.

“What you really do is that you slowly reduce vaccination in the country,” said Griffin.

The change in the guidelines comes when Covid continues to cause hundreds of deaths per week, mainly among older adults. Younger people with a high risk job or health concerns may now find it more difficult to qualify for vaccines.

Part of the counter reaction also comes from the political background.

Health Minister Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a long -time skeptic in the vaccine, has questioned the security of Covid shots and suggested placebo tests for all new vaccines.

He has also promoted alternative remedies such as cod liver oil and strongly criticized by experts in public health.

Recently, the FDA has also limited the use of the Novavax vaccine to high-risk people and triggers further concerns.

Durbin said: “I think this is a dangerous precedent.

FDA officials say that current laboratory data is still showing that vaccines protect the most endangered shooters.

Prasad and Makary estimate that about a third of the Americans with conditions such as asthma, diabetes, depression or pregnancy still qualify after the new rules.

“Risk Americans can be assured that they are covered by such permits,” said Prasad.

When the autumn vaccine season approaches, many Americans are not sure what they can expect. With the access cladding, “Covid 2025” has become a flashpoint for the debate about how the nation should deal with the next phase of pandemic.
