Putrajaya:

The Malaysian anti-corruption commission has completed a forensic report on the controversial videos that are connected to a suspected mining scandal in Sabah, says MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki.

At a press conference today, Azam said that the report by the MACC forensic department was submitted to the investigative officer of the case about a week ago.

He said that the investigative officer had been instructed to question all the people associated with the videos in order to check the content of what he said was essential before further measures could be taken.

“I have instructed the investigative officer to collect new statements from everyone involved,” he said.

He said that the deputy prosecutor could check the investigation from all perspectives as soon as the statements had been collected.

Azam refused to comment when he was asked about the authenticity of the videos.

A suspected mining scandal was reported last year after a series of videos that linked several Sabah assembly men were leaked through.

The videos allegedly show discussions that affect bribery and misconduct in relation to mineral research projects in Sabah.

In February, Azam said that the first row of videos had no credibility because they were dealt with strongly.
