Defensive end Maxx Crosby

Q: General thoughts, first day of Otas, what do you think?

Maxx Crosby: “Amazing. We have a lot of fun. It was, how many weeks, I don't know six weeks. Yes, six weeks later, only the boys who are near coaches [Pete] Carroll. Many new coaches, many new faces, but it was incredible. It is a hint of fresh air. We had so much fun and pulled ourselves better every day and worked ourselves through the asses. So far it has been a damn good trip. ”

Q: What is different or does it notice how Pete Carroll performs practices compared to all trainers you had in the past?

Crosby: Yes, no, it's not about what we have done in the past, it's about what we are doing now. And coach [Pete] Carroll, he was incredible. He is strange, he loves the football game, he is obsessed with it. It's fun, it makes you every day when you appear in the building, and that's all you can ask. He is a legendary trainer, Resume speaks for himself and I only try to learn as much as possible from him. ”

Q: What did you think of Ashton Jeanty?

Crosby: Oh, he was great. Ashton [Jeanty] is a great child. I could know him before he was confiscated here. We have some of the similar people around us and call Rubicon, all my boys there. But he is a great child, modest child, I think, only the fact that a child like him could have gone and decided to stay in the state and go out there and have the best year to run back, I think he ever had it. But only shows the testament of the kind of person he is. So it was great. It was only a few weeks ago, but I love the child that he is a damn good worker, the hell of a player and excited to be teammates with him. ”

Q: You have spoken that every repetition of your entire career becomes tough. Do you see this with a child like Brock Bowers to take this next step after what he did last year?

Crosby: “Brock [Bowers]He came into the league and made his claim very loudly and clear. He is an incredible player. He can do everything on the field, he is dynamic, super modest child and he has to grow more. He has a lot of space for it. You can do it for a year, but it is: “What will you do next year?” And he is this type of person. Brock is never someone you have to worry about whether he will appear on time or whether he will work hard. It is just a modest football type. So, more people you have in the team, the better you have the chance that you will win. So, yes, I only have good things to say about Brock and he also has his degree. It is a really cool performance and something that I will soon be up to here. ”

Q: There is a noticeable different energy level on the field, especially with Pete Carroll how he does things. What can you say about this energy and how the boys somehow drives it?

Crosby: “It's just great. Every day they talk about the competition, and that's really. Everything we do, we compete, whether it is in the meetings, whether it is in the individual meetings, whether we are in the weight room. Competitors in the world, you know what I mean, and this energy keeps me at all times [Carroll] Test me all the time. He tests other people in the team and he just wants boys to be the best versions of themselves. And he is loyal. It is not false energy, it is every day. He is the same type and it's not just him, it is the co -trainers, the entire building. It just feels different. And it was definitely incredible. ”

Q: What is it like to get Malcolm Koonce back after he was unable to take part in competitions last year?

Crosby: “I'm so excited. Malcolm [Koonce] Is on the way back from rehab and as I said, Malcolm is literally one of the best teammates I have ever had. He is a great child. He only revolves around ball, he loves football. And he is a worker, do you know what I mean? He is another guy, he reminds me of Brock [Bowers] in this way; He will not stop your ear, he is a calm child, super modest, comes from nothing and appears every day with the way of thinking to get better and constantly ask questions. So, more people you like like Malcolm Koonce, as I said, you will have a chance. So I missed him, as I said, he is the best running mate I've ever had, and I can hardly wait for him to be back in the field. ”

Q: How do you think, did the defense do today?

Crosby: “It was astonishing, it was a great day. We constantly emphasize the ball and we have been the last few days, so it was a lot of fun. It is as if energy is contagious. This is what I preached my boys. Suddenly do not listen to the name that every day that the same boys are put on the course of the season in week 18, week 18, and playoffs are on these podies [Smith] is a great leader and you have a guy like [Ashton] Jeanty comes in. Jakobi Meyers is a prime example of a guy who always works. And if you have a few dogs on the field that are willing to win the most distant length, you will have a chance. ”

Q: What does it mean for you to get out of here after the injury?

Crosby: “It is amazing. It is really – I mean, I feel like a little child out there. I missed her. The rehabilitation started in December. I literally didn't have a low season. I was here for five months. Excuses. Teams.

Q: You saw some other new eras with the Raiders, obviously three coaching regime in three years. What can you identify so far that feels different?

Crosby: “I would only say it starts when you go in the building and I feel like Pete [Carroll] Just create a good job to create a culture and an environment in which you look forward to being here. You should play a child's play at the end of the day, but it is also the most competitive environment, with a number of Alpha men who try to lose weight at the same time. But it is one of the most difficult jobs on the planet. There is a reason why there are only 0.0001 percent of people who can do it because it is not normal. And Pete creates this culture, this energy, where everyone knows that it is difficult. You will work in your ass, you will take the whole work, but you have an entire group and an organization of people who are all on the same wavelength and go in the same direction. This is one of the most difficult things you could do. That is why there are only 32 of the head coaches in the world. But I think Pete only does an incredible job with it. He makes it funny and pleasant every day. You wake up in the morning, it is 5 a.m. and I am excited and excited to be in the building and to fulfill with the boys. ”

Q: You had your first chances of being JAH JOYNER with the rookie d Linemen like Tonka Hemingway, JJ Pegues, what are your first first thoughts?

Crosby: “Yes, you were great. To be honest, just love for detail, I think, with newcomers, you don't want to come in and think that they all have answers. You come in, you stay humble, be calm and easy to work, and I can really do this about these boys, they are not working. That is really what they can really ask how these boys have a lot of great additions.

Q: What do you think about the league that doesn't forbid the Tush boost?

Crosby: “The Tush Push, I mean, it's what it is. I have no comment to be honest. I could really be less interested in.”

Q: The league also decided that players can play at the Olympic Games, an opportunity that they want to put in this ring, and what does they think about it?

Crosby: “Yes, I definitely mean. I would definitely like to play, but it only depends on when it is and what the time frame is. But yes, damn it, go out, represent America, get a gold medal. I mean we would all smoke. So I think it would be a damn good time.”
