Lions' Hutchinson says he was fully clarified after an injury at the end of the season

The Detroit Lions Edge-Rusher Aidan Hutchinson was “completely clarified” after last year's leg injury at the end of the year, he told reporters on Thursday.

“It feels like I'm back myself,” said Hutchinson when the lions started Otas. “I'm really looking forward to the season. I think this is what I was in my life for Otas. This is the biggest break I had to play without a ball.”

Hutchinson was operated on in October to repair the broken tibia and fibula that he had suffered against the Dallas Cowboys during a blowout win. The Star Pass-Rusher was held with his leg in an air line-up after releasing DAK Prescott in Hutchinson's last game of the 2024 season.

He was in his first five games for a career best campaign with 7.5 sacks, seven tackles due to loss and 17 quarterback hits. Hutchinson was selected in his first Pro Bowl the previous year after picking up 11.5 bags.

Detroit trained Hutchinson's option in the fifth year at the beginning of this low season and held it under contract during the 2026 season.

The former second overall winner has 28.5 sacks and 30 duels for the loss in 39 career appearances for the Lions.
