College Baseball NCAA tournament 2025 Bubble Watch (May 22nd)

The selection on Monday is only four days away, and Baseball America is back with our latest Bubble Watch to take a closer look at these teams, which compete for bids.

Conferences that are expected to prove three or more commandments are first listed, followed by teams who urge them to give their leagues a second entry.

Acc

With nine teams that are enclosed in the NCAA tournament and some more hang in the bladder, the ACC is the second most common conference in the area of 64 years. The new single output format in this year's conference tournament only raised the stakes for the Bubble team such as the Virginia and the Notre lady, which were with the Boston College during the week.

Virginia (32-18, 16-11; RPI: 59; SOS: 76)
Virginia's stay in Charlotte was short and harmful. The Cavaliers made five mistakes and allowed five undeserved runs in a brutal ACC tournament loss against Boston College, a result that she reduced to 59th place in RPI and had serious doubts in her hopes after the season. Without playing games, Virginia's fate is in the hands of the selection committee. Baseball America has left UVA out of our latest projected field.

Notre lady (32-21, 14-16; RPI: 46; SOS: 47)
We thought Notre Dame's Series victory in Miami would be enough to secure his place in the tournament. And maybe it will still be. But the Irish's ACC tournament loss to the Boston College has given an already questioned case uncertainty. Her solid RPI and her strong finish of the regular season keep you in the mix – BA has it among the final teams – but a stolen bid elsewhere could be enough to switch off.

Big 12

The debut of BIG 12 as an extended league made in the drama. Seven teams are already included in the NCAA tournament and another in the bladder. The story is now shifting to Arizona State, which has played directly into the bladder and may need help elsewhere to hear your name from the selection on Monday.

State of Arizona (35-22, 18-12; RPI: 48; SOS: 43)
The clarification of the Sun Devils in the late season continued in the Big 12 tournament with a one-and-done performance. Her loss against BYU dropped her in 48th place in RPI, a precarious position for a hopeful. We said beforehand that the 18 conference victories of the ASU should be sufficient to bring it over the finish line, but that is less secure than ever. The Sun Devils are now firm in the waiting and lake mode and have the risk of a tournament flour in the fourth route that would be unprecedented for the university.

Big ten

The Big Ten did not produce much intrigue this spring this spring, with only three team frequency, UCLA and USC-in the NCAA tournament and only another hunting. Iowa's win of the regular seasonal conference has lived his life, but weak metrics kept it outside the projected field. A deep tournament is probably the only way to play the Hawkeyes in the way.

Iowa opened the Big Ten tournament game with an urgently needed victory against Rutgers and stands in another must-profit matchup towards Indiana. The Hawkeyes' high hopes currently remain low. A run on the big ten championship could change the narrative and give the selection committee reason to overlook the blemish of the CV.

Sec

The SEC view has not changed. Baseball America still looks at the same 13 teams as locks for the NCAA tournament, which it did in our last update. The only remaining bubble team is Texas A&M, which requires a deep SEC tournament to force his way into the conversation.

Texas A & M. (29-25, 11-19; RPI: 52; SOS: 11)
The Aggies opened the SEC tournament game with a dominant 9-0 victory against the state of Mississippi, but still have to do work. While this update is written, A&M Auburn takes over in a must-win game that will not be relieved with star outfield Jace laviolette, which is not possible by an obvious hand injury. Even with a win, the Aggies will probably have to summarize at least one further victory to earn a serious consideration. The title favorites of the pre -season still have a chance, but it's tight.

Sun belt

The sun belt tends towards a three-bid league, with two teams being locked up and Troy is still hanging on the bladder. No other teams appear in serious disputes, which corresponds to every result for Montgomery for the hopes of the Trojans.

Troy (38-20, 18-12; RPI 44; SOS: 69)
Troy pressed an opening round against Old Dominion on the back of the bladder and we listed in our last projection as the second last team in this area. A victory against the state of Texas on Thursday kept the Trojans alive in Sun Belt Title Race. Another victory could make a big contribution to giving you an urgently needed breathroom before the selection on Monday.

AAC

Lock: Utsa
Should in: None
To do work: Tulane, Charlotte, East Carolina, Fau, Südflorida

This is a one-bid league unless Utsa wins the conference tournament in no plan and simple. The Roadrunners are certainly at the NCAA tournament, but no other AAC team has a strong enough curriculum vitae to get a wide range without gaining the car offer. Tulane, Charlotte, East Carolina, Fau and Südflorida all stay alive, but only one will hit a ticket unless someone hits the Roadrunners.

Big east

Lock: None
Should in: None
To do work: Connecticut, Creighton, Xavier

This remains a close three-team race for what is probably only one or two NCAA tournament. Connecticut, Creighton and Xavier are all in the mix, with the latest projection of Baseball America Both Uconn and Xavier-Lakter. The final result depends on how the rest of the Big East tournament develops. Every game from here helps the bladder.

Big West

Lock: UC Irvine
Should in: None
To do work: Cal Poly, Hawaii, Cal State Fullerton

The Big West is on the right track to either be a one or two bid league, with UC Irvine being enclosed in the NCAA tournament field, regardless of how the conference tournament takes place. If the office gains the automatic offer of the league, you will probably be the only representative of the conference. But when a team like Cal Poly or Hawaii claims the title, the Big West becomes a two-bid league. Cal Poly is the most likely spoiler after a strong regular season, while Hawaii attracts attention by eliminating UCSB.

Conference USA

Lock: Dallas Baptist
Should in: None
To do work: Western Kentucky

This is still projecting as a one-bid league, with Dallas Baptist trapped and has won the automatic offer. But Western Kentucky clings to the hope of the hope of the state of New Mexico on Wednesday. In order to keep these hopes on life, the Hilltoppers have to beat Fiu – especially with their RPI, which only hovers in the top 50. Any stumbling will probably end their chances.

Southland Conference

While the open championship series by Houston Christian and New Orleans play on Thursday to decide who claims the automatic offer of the league, Baseball America remains optimistic about UtrGV chances thanks to its No. 41 RPI and nine combined quadrants 1 and 2 victories. But the Vaqueros are firmly in the bladder. Since there are no more games to play, you will sweat the selection on Monday because the results shape your fate elsewhere. At the moment we are projecting you as one of the final teams in the field.
