Laredo Police Update about crash, in which the 7-year-old child was killed

Laredo, Tex. (KGNS) new details appeared in the fatal crash in Central Laredo, in which a 7-year-old boy was killed.

The Laredo police now confirm that there were now four people in the SUV when they crashed on the Highway 83 near Market Street on Wednesday, May 21st. The woman lost control and hit a cement wall, whereby the vehicle rolled over. The boy was thrown out of the SUV and later died in the hospital.

The police say that the child had not worn a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Officials also confirmed that the other passengers who were taken to the hospital are family members of the boy, including his mother and two other children.

The officials check the surveillance cameras and speak to witnesses to find out what caused the accident. So far, no charges have been charged against the driver, but that could change if the examination continues.
