Lenoir Day Care Worker, who is charged with prison after the death of children

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – The daycare worker who was charged with the death of a toddler in Caldwell County confirmed the Caldwell County Detung Center on Thursday.

On Thursday, May 22nd, the officials said that 29 -year -old Alexandra Coffey was out of prison after a bond of 500,000 US dollars. Coffey was charged on Wednesday of the involuntary homicide because of her alleged participation in the death of a 16 -month -old girl who died on Monday, May 19.

Coffey was an employee with creative beginnings from Lenoir, where the toddler died of what the police thought was a cardiac arrest. Details about their alleged participation in death were not immediately known.

Child dies on Monday

Lenoir's police said that first aiders arrived at creative beginnings on Monday, May 19, and found a not responding 16 months old girl.

The child was then brought to Caldwell Unc Healthcare, where it was declared dead.

The police suspected that the girl had died of cardiac arrest. An autopsy was carried out to determine the exact cause of death.

In a call to WBTV on Tuesday, the mother of the 16 -month -old girl said that she discontinued her daughter Maddy for the first time on Monday for the first time in the day care facility.

The mother received a call later on that day and heard that her daughter had never woken up by a nap in the afternoon, she said WBTV.

State locks the license from Day Care suspended

The creative beginnings of Lenoir had to close the business license at the end of the day on Wednesday, May 21, after the Ministry of Health and Human Services in North Carolina.

The suspension decision was “based on the agency's findings that public health, security or well -being required emergency measures”, as the suspension order was on Monday.

The childcare facility, which also identified as a preschool, was instructed to inform all parents and customers that it would be closed by the end of Wednesday. Subscribed childcare payments were also instructed on Wednesday to end on Wednesday, the state said in his letter.

The Lenoir police previously said that creative beginnings work completely together with the examination of the child's death.
