Scott McLaughlin defends Roger Penske to Indianapolis 500 scandal

Indianapolis – susceptibility to security is not a natural suit for most men. But on Thursday in Indianapolis 500 Media Day, driver Scott McLaughlin did not suppress his emotions when he discussed the recent ignition of three critical team penske strategists after he was violated almost 12 qualifying before the team was violated before the team was violated.

“It is frustrating that this has burned down, and it costs three people who am very tight with their workplaces,” said McLaughlin.

Although McLaughlin described the shots as “SAD”, the decision of the team owner of 2021 NTT Indycar and Indy 500 rookie of the year said to respect the team owner Roger Penske, President Tim Cindric, the managing director Ron Ruzewski and General Manager Kyle Moyer. After McLaughlin informed the media that “he didn't speak too much more about Penske's violations and burnings,” McLaughlin started again and defended Penske.

“I am disappointed with how Roger's name is thrown through the mud (and),” said McLaughlin. “Our team, the people on the ground, the people who spend hours away from their families to build these cars and basically be thrown into the mud. I take it personally.”

McLaughlin believes that the scandal is “disproportionately taken” and fears that people could forget what Penske did for sport. Penske owns Indycar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway together with his decorated team.

Ben Bretzman will replace Moyer on race day as a McLaughlin strategy. McLaughlin called Bretzman his “best friend” and said that he was excited to work closer to him. Communication will not be difficult for the two, since Bretzman manages the time for McLaughlin on the test days. If that wasn't enough experience, your time together has put together video games together.

“We have amazing people who come from a replacement perspective and help us,” said McLaughlin.

After a week full of turbulence and an unfortunate crash in practice on Sunday, McLaughlin is focused in one direction.

“Overall, it is my view to concentrate only and to win Roger (Penske) his 21st (Indianapolis 500),” said McLaughlin. “And I'll tell you something, there is so much motivation within the team (and) in my booth.”
