The fourth street will be opened again after gas leaks in the city center of Santa Rosa have brief closure

Officials led the gas leak on Thursday to an leaking controller in an underground vault in the Fourth Street. There were no evacuations and no reports on injuries.

The fourth street in the city center of Santa Rosa was reopened on Thursday afternoon after a road closure caused by a gas leak.

The crews of the Santa Rosa fire brigade were called to the area at around 12.15 p.m. after a report on the smell of gas.

Officials soon closed the 600 block of the Fourth Street between the D Street and the Mendocino Avenue, while the Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

According to officials, the workers have followed the leak to an incorrect gas authority in an underground vault in the Fourth Street.

A witness who grabbed lunch along Fourth Street said that despite the strong smell of gas in the area, none of the surrounding companies was evacuated.

There were no reports on injuries.

The fourth street was reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
