Suspicious death near the Fremont Street causes the police investigation into the metro

Las Vegas (KTNV) – Murder detectives at Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department examine a suspicious death, the department said on Thursday.

On May 20, around 10:19 a.m., the LVMPD communication received a report on a bad smell that was stored by a large container that was stored in a business place in the 100 Block of the North 3rd Street near the Fremont Street. When the officials arrived, they found the body of a deceased person in the container.

The police say that the suspicious nature of the discovery caused the LVMPD murder section to take over the case. You identified the 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo as a suspect.

On May 21, 2025, detectives were pointed out that Del Rivo was involved in an undamaged high speed with the Utah Highway Patrol the day before, which led to his death after his crash.

The victim had not been publicly identified in this report. This information is expected to be published by the Clark County Coroner.
