This week we have the SAPA-Johnsrud-Invitational, in which the Wildcats continue to roll, Whitefish Tennis sends five players into the state, the AA Lakers continue to play well on the diamond and a look at the state tournaments this week and which matchups. So let's go into the highlights of this week that you may have missed.

It was a busy week at SAPA-Johnsrud Invitational, and the wildcats of the hometown Columbia Falls extended their winning streak to 12 with a few impressive victories to end as one of the top seeds in the federal state.

In her first game, Zeke Dunn played a complete game, the three goals, a deserved run and 10 batteries when the wildcats won their 11th game in a row and defeated the Polson Pirates 2-1. The Wildcats (16-1) placed both runs in the third inning when Cooper Ross and Reggie Sapa, before Jett Pitts scored a 2-run double. Pitts added a single in the sixth inning when the Columbia Falls were kept for four hits.

Cooper Ross held the Frenchtown Broncs in the first five frames goalless, and the wildcats were examining enough to win the 2-1 duel of the pitcher on Saturday to extend their winning streak to 12 games.

In a matchup of teams that will be up to date for the state tournament of the next week, Ross only gave up five goals to the Broncs, with an undeserved run and scored four innings in four innings.

Reggie Sapa earned the salvation after he had set up the seventh, but not without traffic on the bases.

After SAPA recorded the first two outs, he went in a row battery that put the binding run in goal position before he left the last dough.

Brady Matson and Noah Upton drove in a run for Columbia Falls.

With these victories, the wildcats reach the state and will play Billings Central on Thursday at 10 a.m. and maintain the winning streak.

Whitefish also achieved two victories last week, but unfortunately did not qualify for the state tournament. In their first game on Friday, the Bulldogs scored all seven of their runs in the first inn, highlighted by Carter Godseys RBI Double, and recorded the Frenchtown Broncs with 7: 4.

The Bulldogs collected six of their nine walks in the lower half of the first, five of whom came to score. Max Barone went twice, sang and scored a run. Calvin Eisenbarth added an RBI and a run.

In the second game, Polson gave all eight of his runs in the fourth inning with 8: 6 before the Whitefish Bulldogs with two runs in the fifth and sixth inning reacted in a back and forth game in Smith Fields.

The Bulldogs bumped out an early 6-0 lead after achieving five runs in their half of the third point in four goals. Max Barone doubled to lead the inning, Ryan Conclin, before Christian Schwaderer drove both runners on a triple.

Calvin Eisenbarth brought the game together in the fifth inning with 8: 8 and shot a 2-run Homerun to achieve Carter Godsey. Tait Orme broke in the sixth inning with an RBI single and Reyd Hobart, who brought the Orme home for the last run of the game.

The Bulldogs ended the season with a great record of 15: 4, congratulations to Whitefish for a great season.

BigFork also fought for the chance to create the state before dropping two close games and fell out of the content for a game game. BigFork lost to Corvallis 8-7 Friday, when she gave up four runs in the last inn, including a 3-run home run from Reese Earp. The Vikings had 7-2 after four leads before they gave up six runs in the last three inning to lose them.

In their second game, both teams were kept goalless in the last seven innings of the game before Jackson Lubke scored the game-winning victim fly in the 11th Inning to send the Hamilton Broncs to the State Tournament on Saturday with a 2-1 win against the Vikings.

BigFork was the first on the board when Mason Lewis connected Grady Campbell on an RBI single goal. This was the only run for the Vikings when they missed a crucial opportunity at the top of the 11th inn, when Liam Benson doubled before the next three battery retired.

The Vikings ended 12: 5 and were just a game of the chance to play the game for the state.

The AA Lakers won all four games last week to improve to 13: 4 of the season. Three Kalispell Pitchers combined on a four-hitter and the AA Lakers set up in three innings in three innings during a 19: 1 legion baseball victory against class A Libby.

Brady Buckmaster scored an RBI triple and scored four runs from the Leadoff place for the Lakers. Hunter fann, Kaeden Kahler and Cale Brink drove in three runs, and Luke Nikunen, who was hit twice by parking spaces, and Wyatt Asher scored three times.

Nikunen accused a complete game-shutout, only allowed four goals, weren't seven and sought seven when the Lakers won 10: 0 against the cranbrook bandits in their second game of the Canadian Days tournament on Saturday. They defeated the Prairie Cardinals 15-0 in the opener.

Hunter Fann made the sparks available for the Lakers offensive, hit a Homerun in the park in the fifth inning, scored one and ended with three RBIs. Nikunen added two hits, including a double, a run and an RBI after dragging five innings on the hill when the game was called into the rule of grace early.

In her third game, Bryce Buckmaster accused a no-hit shutout and scored six innings in the game on Friday, which only lasted three in our innings due to the running rule when the Lakers easily won with 15: 0.

The Laker's criminal offense did not waste time because the first seven batteries reached the base, which Kaedan Kahler's 2-Run double, to jump after an early 8-0 lead. You have completed four other runs in the second inning and Nikunens 2-Run single did 15-0 after three years to end the game.

There were no softball games last week, but here are some pairs of state who can look for this next week. Glacier ended 16: 3 and will play Columbia Falls with 15: 6 Billings West on Thursday and play at home against Hamilton on Thursday at 11 a.m., good luck for both teams.
