Glendale – The NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Arizona Cardinals have included the Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting on the list of reserve/non-football injuries and ended its 2025 season. It is unclear which Murphy Bunting injury is at this time, but Arizona loses one of his top cornerbacks from last year after only one season has signed its new three-year contract.

What Murphy-Bunting's absence for cardinals means:

Last year Murphy-Bunting's was the first year with the franchise after spending his first five years with the Tampa Bay Buccaners and Tennessee Titans. The 27-year-old started 15 games for the cardinals and recorded three interceptions, five passable controls and 52 duels. He was an urgently needed veteran besides security Budda Baker in the secondary level, but will not be on the field next season.

Fortunately, General Manager Monti Ossenfort got the theft of the draft of the last month in Michigan Wolverines Cornerback Will Johnson. The all-American was a projected top 10 election in the draft, but injury concerns dropped it up to the 47th Arizona. In 2023, Johnson helped Michigan to lead to one of the best defenses in the country and finally to a national championship where he received defensive MVP.

Johnson played all the concerns about the nagging injuries, but during his introductory press conference with the Cardinals, had injuries with the Wolverines, but during his introductory press conference with the Cardinals. Johnson was advertised as the best defensive in the design and as future No. One Cornerback in a team. Arizona has to do it earlier than expected when he starts with a Murphy outbreak.

The usual suspects have to rise in the secondary, especially Baker, who leaves his seventh Pro-Bowl season. The return of the defensive backs, which Thomas V and Garrett Williams are surprising, will enter their third season with the cardinals and have the opportunity to make a jump with the climbs.

In this low season, this came up with many questions about the front seven this season and answered this by spending a lot of money for Pro-Bowlers like Edge Josh Sweat and defensive Tackle Calais Campbell. With the news about Murphy-Bunting, however, the secondary becomes a much more blatant problem to see how the team reacts to 2025.
