Red Sox Reliever, Cancer -surviving Liam Hendriks Slams fans for “hideous” death threats

The Boston Red Sox Relief Pitcher Liam Hendriks had to fight 5-1 against the team in Fenway Park on Wednesday.

The 36 -year -old Hendriks gave up three deserved runs with three goals and was charged with the loss.

The aid went on social media on Thursday morning and found that the fans sent him and his wife death threats.

“Threats against my life and my wife's life are terrible and cruel. You need help,” wrote Hendriks in his Instagram story.

“Letting me say that I should commit suicide and how you wish I would have died of cancer, is disgusting and hideous.”

“Perhaps you should take a step back and re -evaluate your purpose before hiding behind a screen that attacks players and their families.”

Hendriks announced that he had been diagnosed with him in January 2023, non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The three-time all-star returned to the hill less than five months later and set up for the Chicago White Sox.

In his 14-year career, Hendriks has a 33-35 record with an ERA of 3.85 with 738 strikes in 661.1 career inside.
