Is the third time a spell?

What started as a semi -finals on Wednesday and Thursday, thanks to Mother Nature and her joys in the last four Friday, turned into the District Diamond Playoffs playoffs.

The baseball and softball semi -final of class A, 2A and 3A is finally implemented with a few changes here and there from the original schedule into reality.

When the three lowest classifications deal with District Softball this spring, the two northernmost and most southern counties dominate in the WPIA.

On the way to the softball semi -final on Friday, 12 teams for gold are alive in class A, 2a and 3a.

More than half of these teams come from Lawrence or Greene Counties.

The collapse comes from Lawrence County (Mohawk, Ellwood City, Neshannock, Union), three from Greene County (Carmichaels, Jefferson-Morgan, West Greene), two from Allegheny County (Avonworth, South Park), two from Washington County (Bentworth, Charters-Houston) Washington (Bentworth, Chartens-Houston) and one of Biachenide (Riverside).

These Dandy -Deards were all winners on Monday in the quarter -finals and are now a victory to play for a district championship next week.

You have now also deserved a safety net because you know that Friday will not be your last game of the season.

The six teams that are neglected in the semifinals have the chance to secure a place in the Piaa playoffs in the consolation of their classification. (With the exception of the last four teams in class 2a, all of whom have won a state after season since the WPIA, sends four teams to the Piaa tournament in this class and only three in 3a and A.)

Here is the softball time plan for Friday:

Class 3a

• No. 1 South Park (19-0) now competes against Avonworth (15-4) No. 4 at the Pleasant Hills Elementary School in Peters Township. Both teams had Byes in the first round, with the Eagles in the quarter -finals, 10: 0, Hirschseen, and the antelopes, the Keystone Oaks gathered 7-1.

Carmichaels defeated West Greene twice in the regular season at 9: 1 and 6: 1.

Unexpected four

A post -season clip that runs as expected, with the four best seeds reaching the semi -finals, is considered a “chalk”.

In the three lowest classifications in baseball, these tournaments resemble the modern classroom without chalk.

The baseball playoffs of class A, 2a and 3a have reached the last four and things did not run as expected.

Of the top four seeds in the three tournaments, only four of the 12 rounds survived.

This includes the 2A top seed in Neshannock, which lost on Tuesday in a quarter -finals against freedom.

Will more eyebrows pull up on Friday?
