Jets, blues trainers fire verbal shots according to Scheifele injury

If the head coach of Winnipeg Jets, Scott Arniel, ever needs medical advice, St. Louis Blues appears to be the last person he would call.

Jets -Star Mark Scheifele left the 5th game 5 on Wednesday with an obvious injury, and many speculated that it happened in the first period with a difficult hit by blues captain Brayden Schnn.

Montgomery saw things a little differently.

After the game, the Blues head coach was that Scheifele was actually injured at the beginning of the first period when Radek Faksa was hit.

“Let's make it clear, (Scheifele) was injured by the Faksa hit,” Montgomery told reporters after the game. “He played six minutes after the ski had hit. He didn't come back after he was shaken by Faksa.”

Arniel was asked about Montgomery's assessment in his own press conference and clearly believes that the head of St. Louis Bench should stay with his daily job.

“I didn't know that Monty had his medical degree and tried to say how our player was injured,” said the coach from Kingston, Ontario, about Montgomery, who has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Maine.

“He is far from the base. He should not make this comment.

“There are some things that have been done in this series. That was a repetition of what we saw before. A player who left his feet and then hit a player in a very unprotected place.

Siehn got two minutes for the rough and two because of interference in the piece, but Brandon Tanev from Winnipeg was also rated with a rough penalty.

A visibly angry Arniel had words with the referees before the start of the second period.

Before he left the game, Scheifele played 8:05. Arniel had no update about his status.

Arniel and Montgomery are now going far. Arniel began his coaching career as an assistant at the Minor League Manitoba Moose 1999-2000, while Montgomery, born in Montgomery in Montgomery, played for the team.

Despite the loss of one of her top strikers, the Jets in game 5 took over a 3-2 series with a convincing 5: 3 victory.

If the word war is an indication of indication, game 6 in St. Louis should be quite a pleasure on Friday.
