Quick forecast

  • Cool Christmas weekend, but be looking for a shower
  • All weekend over cooler than normal
  • The nearby system could bring Sunday showers
  • Soaking rain awaits later next week

Although most of this memorial day weekend will be cool and dry, a system that moves on Sunday via North Carolina will spill clouds north in Fredericksburg and bring a little chance for showers late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.

In the afternoon to Monday, average will fall in the lower 70s, while the nights fall into the upper 40s.

As soon as the North Carolina system leaves off the coast, the next chance to soak rain will come late on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday. Then the temperatures will come closer to normal on the following weekend and in the first days of June.

Normal temperatures next week:

Heights: Upper 70s

Deeps: Upper 50s
