Note from the publisher: This episode was recorded in front of the house passed Trump's domestic legislation on May 22nd.

For reasons, I will not pretend that we are living at a time when the only really cross-party idea is that Landmark legislation requires a triple-B all-literation. President Joe Biden's proposal for signature was better dismantled. Now President Trump has thrown his presidency – and all of us – on his “big, beautiful bill”.

Archived clip by Donald Trump: Big, beautiful – this beautiful, large, beautiful bill.

Let me suggest a different name. I will even stay in trend: the large budget bomb.

I will record this on Wednesday, May 21st. It is always possible that things will change. But from now on the damage that this calculation corresponds to the budget is difficult to convey – partly because the size of this matter is difficult to convey.

And to be honest, the budget is where the problems of this calculation would only begin. But we have to start somewhere.

If you think about the size and cost of legislation, you have to take two different pages into account: How much does the invoice cost either by new expenses or by tax cuts and how much of these costs for the debts.
