The 92-year-old victim of a triad hospital crash rejected his Gurney during the impact and contributed to his death, the medical examiner by North Carolina decided.

According to Wxii, Omer Pope was taken to a hospital on the morning of March 11th when a Jeep Cherokee from the 52-year-old Diane Langford crossed the mid-median and collided head-on with the outpatient clinic on the 6600 block of Silas Creek Parkway.

The medical report states that Pope, even though he was strapped to a Gurney, was thrown into him while the collision was thrown by him. He was explained dead minutes later. His probable cause of death was listed as a blunt trauma for the head.

According to the Winston-Salem police department, Langford was charged with the vehicle and failure to maintain the lane control.
