San Diego plane crash: How the tragedy was going on when the Cessna 550 plane crashed into a quiet area

In the silence of the night a quiet street lined with trees in A quarter in San Diego was crashed into chaos when an aircraft cut and fell a power line – cars turned into fire balls and the residents fled from smoke and confusion.

The aircraft pilot, a Cessna 550 Business Jet, had just informed the air traffic controllers that the weather does not continue well with the landing, according to Audio from LiveAtc.net.

“I just want to see what I am here,” the pilot told a controller when I asked about weather conditions at the Montgomery-GibBS-Executive Airport. The controller reported on poor conditions – visibility of half a mile and a cloud cover of 200 feet.

“Well, that doesn't sound good, but we'll try it,” the pilot replied.

The plane crashed about half an hour after this exchange.

There were no signs of problems and no emergency was explained.

Six people were on board the flight, the officials said, and when someone survived on the plane, the fire department manager of San Diego, Dan Eddy, replied: “I don't know on this point, but no, I don't think so.”

According to the San Diego Police Department, at least two people were confirmed dead. Eight people in the quarter of Murphy Canyon – a military apartment community – were injured, including two treated mild injuries at the crime scene and six others who received medical help, the police said.

The reacted firefighters and police officers sprinted flames in a race against the interventions. After the plane had slapped into a house, the plane let himself go into a house and opened a trace of ruins along the street to spill fuel that triggered a chain of fires.

Firefighters went from door to the door and the residents of urgent parents, who clutched babies, clutched, families half sleeping.

A resident told CNN Affiliate Kfmb that they were woken up by a thundering boom, looked outside and saw a “fireball down the street”. When his wife grabbed her dogs and children, he ran to evacuate the family, whose house was hit directly from the plane.

“I grabbed two of the children over the fence, brought them to the neighbors, came back, we reached for the ladder, took the woman out, took out the two dogs, took out the husband.”

Another resident said KfMB when he opened his door, he saw his neighbor's car exploding.

“First I run up, get my children, my wife and I am in my underwear. I'm just going out,” he said. “We helped a few neighbors to get out. That is all we could do.”

The destruction extended the residential street over at least a quarter mile, where several cars catch fire and other blocks of houses were removed from the main fall.

“I woke up to an earthquake”. “My children are also awakened, they looked out of the window and started screaming. My entire front area burned. We were caught in our house and couldn't get out.”

Later on Thursday, when the full extent of the damage came in sight, the officers inspected the skeleton of a house, devastated the impact of the aircraft, which stretched a hole into the side and crushed the roof onto a car underneath. The thick stench of the jet bracelet hung in the air when the crews combed the rubble for possible indications of the cause of the crash. A yellow body pocket lay between the charred remains of vehicles, a dark memory of the tribute of the tragedy.

It is a “miracle”, none of the deaths in the neighborhood, said Eddy, the deputy fire chief.

“When I came into the scene, I didn't expect the same result as I arrived here,” he said. “I don't know exactly how they got out, but I know that the neighbors have helped you get out, and that is the beauty of what I love in this neighborhood. Military that looks together. They did exactly what they did to help each other.”

Music agency Sound Talent Group said three of her employees, including David Shapiro, one of his co -founders, died during the crash, reported the Associated Press on Thursday. The agency did not name the other two employees. CNN turned to the Sound Talent Group to obtain further information.

Shapiro represented some of the best known international hard rock, punk and indie bands.

“We are deeply sad to learn that Dave Shapiro and his two colleagues exist,” said a spokesman for the national independent talent organization, a trade organization that represents independent talent agencies and managers across the country, CNN in an explanation of CNN. “Dave was a visionary in the music industry,” says the explanation.

According to FAA Records, Shapiro, who had a pilot license, owned the plane under a company called “Daviator LLC”.

Vehicles are damaged when the authorities work the scene in which a small plane crashed into a neighborhood in San Diego early Thursday.

Scott Wahl, police chief of San Diego, said he tries to describe the scene that his crews arrived as they arrived.

“I cannot give words to describe what this scene looked like, but with the jet fuel that ran through the streets and all at once, it was quite terrible to see,” he said during a press conference.

The film material of the immediate consequences conquered mothers and fathers who set children on their hips and ran through the water lever and poured the flames while frightened dogs were mixed up next to them.

The San Diego Humane Society has taken up in 36 pets, including dogs, at least one cat, 5 geckos and a 20 -gallons fishing tank for emergency floor from families affected by the crash, it was said on social media. The organization's medical team gave several animals decontamination baths to clean the Jet fuel.

The authorities work in the scene in which a small aircraft fell into a neighborhood in San Diego on Thursday.

The National Transportation Safety Board documents the crash site and plans to regain the aircraft on Saturday to a safe location, said Eliott Simpson, an investigator from Senior Aviation accident. This plane probably has a flight data recorder and possibly a cockpit language recorder, he said.

The jet traveled from Teterboro, New Jersey at around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening and, according to Simpson, made a fuel stop in Wichita, Kansas, before the crash.

A preliminary report will be published on the NTSB website in about two weeks and a final report will be published in about 12 to 18 months.

“I feel for the families of those on the plane and what they are going through,” said Eddy during the press conference on Thursday.

“It can be seen tragic [the wreckage] … whether they are involved or not, only normal citizens who are here will remember the rest of their lives. ”
