They regularly eat carrots to reach a natural tan. According to doctors, too many carrots can be associated with serious consequences.

A TIKTOK community called “Lookmaxxers” has asked its supporters to mix a carrot every day in order to become bright, tanned skin, reports The Independent. However, one of his harmful effects on health is an illness known as carotenaemia. It happens when you consume an excessive amount of food that are rich in beta-carotene, a kind of carotenoid.

Carotenaemia causes your skin to twist an undesirable yellow-or-color-colored color, since a high beta-carotene in the blood is according to very good healthcare. Although carotenaemia is largely harmless and reversible, an X user claimed that carrot maxxing had sent it to the emergency room.

The woman revealed that she found cuts cut in doses instead of raw carrots – not one, but six full doses every day that she landed in the hospital. The reason? Their salt intake was 5,250 milligrams, which was twice as large as the recommended amount of daily sodium consumption. According to the American Heart Association, a person must not have more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium per day. The user shared her ordeal and unveiled: “I already had heart problems, so the whole sodium in my carrots somehow took me out and I went into mild organ failure. Now I'm doing much better now!”
