Former MLB 1b in it sues Reds after a knee injury at the end of the Tarp Roller career

The former MLB first Baseman and Outfields call it up the Cincinnati Reds, according to the Associated Press and claims that the negligence of the team in June 2023 had come together with an unexpectedly covered plane roller in the Great American Ball Park and suffered a career-end knee injuries.

“That didn't have to happen,” said Ruf, member of the Milwaukee Brewers at the time of the injury. “I wish it hadn't happened. The players shouldn't have to worry about hidden dangers in a field of the Major League.”

Ruf played the first basis and tried to catch a pop-up in foul territory when he collided with the plane roller. He was put on the 60-day injured list by the brewer and, according to his lawsuit, never played again because of “permanent and considerable deformities on his knee”.

He argued in the lawsuit that the edge of the tarpaulin roller consisted of sharp metal without a protective pad. Call is looking for punishment and compensatory damage and accuses the Reds and their off -road crew not to offer safe scope.

“This was an obvious and avoidable risk,” said his lawyer Tad Thomas in a statement. “There are fundamental security protocols that every MLB team should follow. It is unexcused.

The 38-year-old call played in the Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies (2012-16), San Francisco Giants (2020-22, 2023), New York Mets (2022) and Brewers (2023) with 67 Homers and 205 RBI in his career .239 .239.

He is the best known for bringing the professional baseball record from Sammy Sosa together in a calendar month in August 2012 during his time with the Double-A Reading Phillies in a calendar month.
