One of Death Row's oldest inmates gave destructive words – US news – US news before execution.

Yesterday the state of Tennessee executed its oldest inmates in the center for the murder of his wife and two youthful sons.

The 75-year-old Oscar Franklin Smith was convicted of murder Judith Robirds Smith and her two youthful sons from a previous marriage, Chad Burnett and Jason Burnett, 1989 in Nashville in Nashville.

Smith always said that he was innocent in the murder of the trio.

He was executed by fatal injection on May 22nd and gave a long and devastating remark to convict the government and the legal system before his death.

He also shot the governor Bill Lee, who decided the last minute to stop his execution in 2022.

Smith said: “Someone has to tell the governor that the judicial system does not work.

“He is a damned fool if he doesn't notice that we have it [innocent] Men in risbar are waiting to die.

“I'm not the first and won't be the last one.”

He also repeatedly insisted that he showed visible signs of breathing in the moments before stopping.

It was declared dead at 10.47 a.m. local time.

After the execution of Smith, the family of the victims spoke to the media and thanked the law enforcement authorities for the death sentence.

The sister of Robirds Smith, Terri Osborne, said: “We will continue to wear pain, Judy, Chad and Jason.

“These are memories and wounds that will never heal completely.”

Osborne also spoke about the dangers of domestic abuse and said that she hopes that the case will be a call to act on improper or violent relationships to leave her perpetrator.

Oscar said he would not be the last “innocent” man who was killed (Tennessee Department of Corrections).

She added: “Due to our heartache, we are reminded of the devastating consequences of domestic violence.

“For those who may live in fear or the grip of abuse, please know that they are not alone.

“We also pray for more resources and support are made available to those who need this help.”

Robirds Smith's brother Mike Robirds concluded her statement with the words: “Nobody should have to live in fear like our sister, and no family should have to endure a loss of how ours.”
