3 underestimated Hulu films to see this weekend (May 23 to 25)

Memorial Day Weekend is there and the theater worldwide are penetrated by cute little aliens and a constantly running run Tom Cruise. The most exciting place where you can be is not in an auditorium with a number of strangers, but on your living room couch.

There is a restriction – you must have a Hulu subscription. Why? Well, the streamer has an impressive library with new and classic films that you can enjoy. One of the best films of 2025, Night callespecially debuted on Hulu. The chances are good that you have not yet heard of it, but now that it is in Hulu, you can decide yourself.

There are also a few 2011 films -an unusual extraterrestrial invasion thriller and a slippery comedy -which are unique in a unique way. With so many underestimated films on Hulu, the only problem that you will meet is that you will decide first. (It is Night callapparently.)

“Night call” (2025)

Doctoral student Mady (Jonathan Feltre) is a locksmith who reluctantly accepts Claires (from Claire) (Natacha Krief) Desperate late demand to unlock an empty apartment so that it can grab a bag. He is successful, but Claires bag is full of cash that belongs to the Belgian Mobster Yannick (Romain Duris), and Mady is caught in Yannick's apartment Red Hand.

Mady has to find her and get the money back long before with Claire before Yannick and his rackets kill him. Night call Was released in the USA in January 2025 and quickly established itself as one of the best films of the year. The film is a great action thriller with some elements of the film Noir and the social drama. The BLM protests that drive through Belgium increase the use for Mady, who is black and cannot trust the police who patrolled the streets.

He is an action hero that resembles John Wick – he can not rely on anyone except himself, but that could be just enough to bring him through the worst night of his life.

“Attack the block” (2011)

Young London nurse Samantha (Jodie Whittaker) has a bad night. First it is attacked by a group of teenagers who are led by Moses (John Boyega). Then a meteorite falls from the sky and almost kills it in front of her house, Wyndham Tower. The night gets worse for her and Moses because this meteorite contains extraterrestrial spores that turn into hungry monsters. Sam, Moses and the rest of the residents of the building have to join together to kill the penetrating aliens and take back their block.

Attack the block Taking the story “Alien Invasion” and turns it over by concentrating on a single location – Wyndham Tower. The council apartment is populated by the London working class, so the protagonists of the film are not the usual heroes that they see in such a science fiction story. The film includes its silly – at some point someone takes out a extraterrestrial with a Samurai sword – and it is incredibly fun to see it. Boyega became a star due to this film and wears the film with its dropped charisma.

“Bad Teacher” (2011)

The terrible educator in the center of the bad teacher is Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz), who is indeed very bad.
