The news also contained the video of her NBC family, who dealt with Ojeh's death on NBC.

“With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche ojeh, the husband of our girlfriend and today co-moderator Sheinelle Jones, died after a bold struggle with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastom,” said Savannah Guthrie.

“There are no words for the pain we feel for Sheinelle and her three small children. Uche was an incredible person,” continued Guthrie, 53. “We all loved him. And so we want to take a moment to tell them more about the remarkable man who was Sheinelle's perfect partner in life.”

Guthrie revealed the news alongside Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker, Calvin Melvin, Carson Daly and Dylan Dreyer.

Jones and ojeh met when studying at Northwestern University. After eight years, ojeh dates to her Alma Mater. In 2007 they bound the knot and teamed up three children together the 14-year-old Kayin and 12-year-old twins Clara and Uche.

Jones has not performed on the “Today” show since December 2024 and found at the time that she took care of a family health. It is still unclear how long ojeh was sick and when he died.

On Friday, Jones' NBC colleague found that she “relied on her friends” in the difficult time.

Jones ”always smiles [and] A light light whenever it goes into the room, even through that, “said Dreyer.” She ran out on her faith. “

Jenna Bush Hager agreed and noticed that Jones “found grace in mourning, which is not easy”.
