Man who is accused of swinging a shelter and hikers in California Park – The Mercury News

A 66-year-old man who lives in the Angeles National Forest was accused of threatening five hikers while he was swinging a default hammer and blocking a sixth, who tried to return to her car.

Patrick Michael Flinn announced on Wednesday, May 21st, in front of West Covina's Supreme Court, not guilty of five crimes that make criminal threats and a crime of false prison sentence.

A group of three men and two women met with flinish on January 12, said Sheriff's Detective Lisa Ondatje.

The suspect who swung a sledge and hit trees told them that they should get out of his property, she said.

On May 16, at Dry Lake Canyon, a few miles south of Mt. Baldy, a 32-year-old hiker tried to return to her vehicle when flinish is supposed to block her way.

“She tried to get through three times,” said Ondatje.

At some point, flinish jumped up and threw sticks to the hiker.
