I visited the new theme park from Universal: highlights, disappointments

2025-05-23T13: 28: 14Z

  • I visited the latest theme park from Universal, the epic universe, which was opened on Thursday.
  • The unique Meet -and -Greet and creative food and beverage options really blew me away.
  • I wish the park had more shade and didn't rely on the mobile order for restaurants.

The Epic Universe, the latest large theme park in Central Florida for years, was opened on Thursday.

The Universal Park consists of five themed worlds: the magic world of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How To Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.

After a full day in the park, I was overwhelmed how urgently it felt. I drove every attraction, tried some of the many food and beverage offers and met iconic characters.

For those who ask themselves whether a visit is worth it, I have put together a list of things that impressed me the most at the epic universe – plus two of my greatest disappointment so far.

I love how open and urgently the main corridor of the epic universe is.

The green in the Celestial Park impressed me.

After running under the Chronos, the main structure of the park, in the Celestial Park in the park, they are in Celestial Park. This theme world is full of constellations and tons of green and flowers.

I thought it was great how wide the sidewalks are and how open this area feels. The flower landscape and water features really feel like a park or garden.

All of this gave me a big first impression of the epic universe as a whole.

The meeting and greeting of the park have some incredible characters.

I enjoyed the character meeting and greeted in the park, particularly toothless from the training of your dragon franchise.

Megan Dubois

I love to meet characters from my favorite films and franchise companies, and in the whole park there is the opportunity to meet icons like Princess Peach and The Invisible Man.

The only character you have to see is toothless, a dragon from the training of your dragon franchise. The interactive animatronics are impressively sweet and lifelike.

I liked how interactive the new world of the Harry Potter topic is.

Even the queue for fighting on duty felt immersed.

Megan Dubois

There are several Harry Potter wizards around the world in places such as California and Japan. Nevertheless, Orlando's latest Addition, which focuses on the Magic of Magic, is exceptional.

There are so many small details and interactive areas in the world that they could really spend all day long.

Even the queue for the trip Harry Potter and the battle in the ministry were breathtaking. Between the huge magicians, complicated statues and lighting design, I felt like I was in the cinema.

I also estimated that this country had many places where guests can use special magic bars to interact with “magical” objects and buildings.

Dark Universe was a hit for me, especially because it is full of entertainment.

I was very entertained by Dark Universe.

Megan Dubois

I usually don't like creepy, scary or intense things, so I was surprised that I really enjoyed the dark universe.

It is topical after famous monsters and creatures, from Dracula to Wolfsmann. It has two trips and I was particularly impressed by how much walk-around entertainment was packed into this country.

When I went through, I gave tons of storytellers and characters who were willing to interact with guests and take photos. I particularly loved to meet Gregor, a funny monster hunter who hangs around in the burning blade of the country.

I appreciated how easy it was to get into the park from my room in the Universal Helios Grand Hotel.

I went from Universal Helios Grand Hotel to Epic Universe in less than five minutes.

Megan Dubois

During my visit I was staying in the latest Universal Orlando Hotel, Universal Helios Grand Hotel. It was opened at the beginning of this year and has its own entry into the epic universe.

Staying here meant that it was incredibly easy for me to go to the park. I was able to get from my room to Epic Universe in less than five minutes.

For me it is always a victory if themed parks hotels have only removed steps.

The inventive and funny food and beverage options impressed me.

I had to take a photo of the DK Crush Float in Super Nintendo World.

Megan Dubois

I have been in many themed parks over the years, but I was still impressed by the creative and delicious culinary options of the Epic Universe.

My favorite sweet tasty was the DK Crush Float from Super Nintendo World. It is pineapple-and-banana-swear in a waffle bowl with caramel popcorn and chocolate pieces that are filled into a cup of pineapple soda.

It is a total sugar cane that is worth trying.

I wish the park had more shady areas.

I don't like it how the park is missing, especially when the day is the hottest in the afternoon.

Megan Dubois

When I went through the epic universe, I noticed that it didn't have a lot of shaded stains.

This felt particularly unbearable when the day in the afternoon was the hottest. The sun Orlando seemed to reflect bright paths throughout the park.

Although there are some air -conditioned restaurants and attractions in the epic universe, I could see that this sunlight for young guests or those who have to fight with the heat is particularly difficult.

I also did not like that almost every restaurant is dependent on mobile order.

I wish I could have been waiting for my meal in more places in line.

Megan Dubois

Most restaurants in Epic Universe are on mobile order instead of leading the guests in line. Although this looks like it could be time -saving and efficient, I tried to use this system during my visit.

My phone could not get enough a signal for my order to enter my table number in many places throughout the park.

This could also be a bit difficult for those who are not so technically versed.
