Frau runs over, killed by allegedly drunk drivers by motorcycle stands on the highway

St. Gabriel, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – The family of a woman in Louisiana, after the motorcycle she drove, killed and killed by a suspected drunk driver that she still questions about what happened.

The 51 -year -old Katina Perck Leggion was a passenger on a motorcycle that stalled early Sunday morning on Highway 30 in St. Gabriel. Soon afterwards, the police said that she was run over by a pickup truck and died at the scene, reports WAFB.

“She was a loving girl, my daughter. Sometimes she had her bad ways. Sometimes she had her good ways,” said Perry Perck, the victim's father.

The police say that the pickup driver identified as a 51-year-old Sean Alteri was drunk when he hit Leggion. The victim's family says that this should never have happened.

“It is one of the most selfish things to do because they not only endanger themselves, but also put other people around them,” said Chelsea Sedotal, the victim's goddesses.

The daughter of Leggions, Kristina Reid, helped the police to identify her mother's body after the crash.

“She had her times when she was very caring and was there when people needed her,” said Reid.

Now Leggion's memory will live on by her children, grandchildren, father and other relatives.

“We will all pass one day. It's just you never know when. Sometimes you don't have enough time with people before they go. You only have to find out the best of the time you have with them,” said Sedotal.

Alteri was charged with the first attack while he was drunk and driven by vehicle murder.

The man's family of Leggion says she was arrested with the DWI at the time of the crash. He was identified as a 47-year-old Troy Johnson.

By Monday, both men stayed in the Iberville community prison, and their follow -up negotiations were not yet planned.
