Ky. Woman receives a lifelong prison sentence in connection with the death of the child

Whitley County, Ky. (Wymt/Wkyt) – A Corbin woman was sentenced to life imprisonment after she was convicted in connection with the death of a small child.

Alexandra Ward was condemned with the possibility of a probation because he had the indictment for complicity. She also received a five -year prison sentence for the first degree of complicity for strangulation.

Ward was previously convicted of the two charges.

The Kentucky State Police arrested her in April 2023.

Ward's friend Jordan Taylor owed himself guilty of killing Amoura Smallwood in October 2024. Taylor was sentenced shortly after the culprit.

The crime occurred in February 2023 in a house in Eatontown School Road in Corbin.
