Aircraft crash claims live from heavy metal music exec and metal drummer

Dave Shapiro, music director in the heavy metal and hard rock scene, and drummer Daniel Williams were killed under the plane crash of San Diego.

Six people, including Shapiro and Williams, were on board the aircraft when it fell into a neighborhood of the US marine lesson in San Diego early Thursday morning. It is not assumed that there are any survivors.

Williams, former drummer of the Metal band The Devil Wears Prada, posted on his Instagram on Wednesday afternoon that he got on the plane with Shapiro. The band posted a homage to Williams on their Instagram page.

“No words. We owe everything to you. Love yourself forever,” wrote the band.

Shapiro had a pilot license and, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, was listed as the owner of the aircraft. Together with two employees, he was among the six people who were killed in the crash and confirmed the music agency of the music agency on Thursday.

According to industry veterans, Shapiro paved the way for the formation of other independent agencies and helped many alternative ribbons to find the audience in the mainstream.

Tribute flocked from the entire music industry, with many Shapiro's commitment to artists and his real character praised.

Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley displaced Shapiro that he rebuilt in her career at a “low”.

“His opinion was so important to me,” said Whibyy. “He was the guy that I would go for advice.”

Nate Blasdell, former lead guitarist of the band that I set on fire, said he was “absolutely broken”.

“Dave was the first booking agent that I have ever worked with, and he was an important part of my music career in my late teenage years,” he said in a post about X.

In addition to his work in the music industry, Shapiro was a passionate plane. He owned Velocity Aviation, a flight school that offered lessons in San Diego and Homer, Alaska.

Nobody in the neighborhood died, but eight were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation and injuries that were not life -threatening, including a person who was injured from a window, said police officer Anthony Carrasco.
