While new details are still being created, local and federal officials continue to examine, which caused a fatal plane crash on May 22nd in a military house in South California.

In the early morning, a Cessna 550 struck more than a dozen houses that fired house and car fire and sent clouds of smoke to the sky, which was recorded on video, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and the San Diego and firefighters.

The emergency staff immediately reacted to the scene, extinguished several fires and supported the residents with evacuations, the police said. At the time of the incident, at least half a dozen people were on board the private jet.

By May 23, officials had confirmed two deaths and several injuries in the crash.

Where did the plane crash happen?

The jet crashed around 3:45 a.m. near Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego, who published FAA in a statement.

The jet fell along a street in Tierasanta, a neighborhood that is about 10 miles northeast of downtown San Diego. The neighborhood houses a large military community.

Where did the plane come from?

Eliott Simpson, investigator for aviation accidents for the National Transportation Safety Board, said that the plane had left on May 21 at 11:15 p.m. from Teterboro, New Jersey, and flew to Wichita, Kansas. The plane made in Wichita before he flew to San Diego, said Simpson.

“(The aircraft) hit the power lines about two miles southeast of the airport and then collided with a house,” said Simpson at a press conference and added that NTSB would be investigated.

Who died at the San Diego aircraft crash?

By May 23, officials had confirmed at least two deaths in the crash.

The Sound Talent Group, a music agency Dave Shapiro, confirmed his death in an explanation of USA Today. Two other employees were also killed in the crash.

  • Shapiro, 42 years, a talent agent. Shapiro identifies itself on his Instagram page as “Airport/Hublerwichenpilot”.
  • Daniel Williams, 39 years old, a member of the devil is wearing Prada from the band's inception 2005 to 2016. The former drummer divided into his Instagram stories on May 21 with Shapiro, although her goal was not specified. People magazine reported that Williams published pictures of the aircraft and his cockpit in his Instagram story before the crash.

The Metalcore band paid tribute to Williams and Shapiro in an emotional contribution on May 22, which was shared to their social media sites.

How many people were on board the San Diego aircraft that crashed?

At least six people, including Shapiro and Williams, were on board the aircraft when it went down, said Faa officials.

By May 23, the identities of the other passengers were not immediately known and the officials had not released who piloted the plane.

After the crash, eight people were injured on site, reported the San Diego Police Department.

Two people were treated at the crime scene for minor injuries, the police said, and six other medical help received.
