1 dead, 1 injured in the motorcycle accident in Osteen, soldiers say soldiers say

One person is dead and another is injured after an accident in Volusia County on Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

What we know:

The soldiers reported that the crash took place shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 415 and the Fort Smith Boulevard in Osteen.

According to a press release, a Ford Fusion 2016 tried to turn left to travel to SR 415 to the north when he entered the direct path of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in 2017.

As a result, the two vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Ormond Beach, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

The Ford driver was also brought to the hospital with serious injuries.

The intersection was closed for hours for an examination. It has opened again since then.
