Best films and television (May 23 to 26)

It was a bumpy road for the Mission: impossible Franchise (from different quality to a short detour from Jeremy Renner), but one thing remains constant: Tom Cruise risks his life for the cinema. One of the last hand-drawn animation films by Disney is next on the conveyor belt of the studio of live action remakes. Halloween's come with months early Prom -queen. The Fear Street Trilogy in 2021 was a hit for Netflix, so of course the RL Stine franchise continues. In a classic horror premise (a school dance in the 80s, no less), a killer decreases the prom-queen candidates of Shadyside High one after the other.

What if Dawson's Creek Had cars? This is the mood of this ensemble series, in which a group of teenagers really gets into races and romance in a once transparent rust belt city. It is from the writer and showrunner John A. Norris (formerly producer A tree hillSo you know that he has the goods of adolescent melodrama) and led by Ryan Phillippe. – RH

Despite some potentially eyebrow shifts in the timeline of the game for television, the second season of the games, redesigned The last of us has a lot to recommend. There are problems on the side: texture about the surrounding world, which, for example, receives enough details, and the introduction of Abby, who has not yet had time to be rounded and complex as Ellie or Joel. This leads to questions about how this season is likely in the future if Abby and the seraphites and the world be more critical beyond the individual decisions of Ellie. But at its core, the show is full of magic and horror of parenthood and how difficult it is to let your children their own people.

Besides that Mickey 17 As a Bong Joon Ho film, several Robert Pattinsons should be an automatic sale. Pattinson plays the title Mickey when he cloned indefinitely, while he and a crew, which is led by a silly Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette, fly to colonize a new planet. It is silly and entertaining – and even hellish romantic.
