New video shows the Milwaukee judge, which helps the accused to avoid ice agents

The newly published surveillance video seems to show the Milwaukee County Circuit judge Hannah Dugan, who illegally shows an immigrant in the US federal agents – first by giving up the immigration and customs officials from their courtroom by leading the husband and his lawyer through a private back door. The video of April 18, published by the Milwaukee County authorities, seems to support details that were presented in an affidavit in FBI that accuses Dugan of hindering justice and hiding a person to prevent the arrest.

According to an affidavit, immigration and customs authorities (ICE) were in the Milwaukee County Courthouse to meet a valid arrest warrant against Eduardo Flores-Ruiz. He should appear on this day before Dugan for three charges for offense and domestic abuse.

The film material shows that federal agents are waiting in a public hallway near Dugans courtroom at the beginning of the procedure. The affidavit says that, when she became aware of her presence, Dugan looked visibly angry, described the situation as “absurd” and left the bank and entered its chambers. They then showed jurisdiction, accompanied by another judge, approached the ice agents in the hallway and confronted them.

According to the affidavit, Dugan's witnesses described as “angry and confrontational”. She supposedly told the agent that they had a judicial arrest warrant – not just an administrative – and instructed them to go to the highest judge's office.

The video then shows Dugan, who returns to her courtroom when moments later “judge Dugan Flores-Ruiz's lawyer and the man ordered the complaint [Flores-Ruiz] to leave through a back door in front of the courtroom. “The affidavit states that only MPs, jurors, court employees or accused in the customer normally use this door.

The monitoring of the judicial building follows Flores-Ruiz through a hallway in which an ice skots agent that apparently recognizes what happened to them follows them. The camera then shows Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer, who releases the courthouse onto the street.

When they appear, the video of Flores-Ruiz catches up and suddenly starts down the sidewalk. The ICE Agent hunts and grabs it about a block where the agent makes the arrest.

The state prosecutors said that the agents had positioned themselves in a public area and ready to put the arrest in court without disturbing court operations. The Ministry of Justice issued a press release in which the actions of Dugan impair these efforts and enabled the suspect to temporarily avoid federal cure.

Judge Dugan defends himself back

On May 13th, a Grand Jury of the Bundes Judge Dugan accused the judiciary of the judiciary and the veiling of a person to prevent the arrest. The authorities arrested them shortly afterwards and, in the event of an indictment on May 15th, not guilty of making both charges guilty on May 15th.

Her lawyers submitted an application for dismissal and argued that judicial immunity Dugan protects against measures due to measures in the context of their official duties.

Dugan is to return to a pre -judicial hearing before the Federal Court on July 9th. According to the court records, a legal proceedings for July 21 are determined.

The white house sees an open case

The case has restored the tensions between the local jurisdiction and the federal authorities for cooperation with the enforcement of immigration. While the local officials are largely silent, the White House has confiscated the incident as a top -class example of interference in the federal immigration law.

“Let's be clear what this judge did,” said the spokesman for the White House, Karoline Leavitt, at a press conference. “It hindered the federal law enforcement agencies, who looked for an illegal alien in her courthouse. She showed that illegal foreigners were the door to avoid law enforcement officers. This is a clear case of disability.”

If Dugan is convicted, up to six years in prison.
