“The Wheel of Time” was canceled after three seasons at Amazon Prime Video.

The fantasy series, which was based on Robert Jordan's book series of the same name, followed Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of an incredibly powerful, purely female organization called The Aes Sedai, which begins on a global journey with five young men and women, of which one is prophetic as Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity. Rand al'thor (Josha Stradowski) recognizes in season 2 that he is the subject of the prophecy, and in season 3 competing forces pull him both well and evil when Moiraine and Egwene Al'Vere (Madeleine Madden) keep work on the right track.

Rafe Judkins adapted “The Wheel of Time” for television and served as a showrunner. The executing producers included Judkins; Pike; Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon by Iwot Productions; Ted field of radar pictures; Mike Weber; Marigo Kehoe; Ciaran Donnelly; Justine Juel Gillmer; and Dave Hill. The series was co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

In April, diversity Exclusive reported that Iwot Studios developed a video game based on “The Wheel of Time”. At the time, the studio said that the game for the “global success of the TV series should build up” and would be in development for about three years.
