Alex Bregman everyday life with quad injuries after leaving Red Sox against Orioles

The Boston Red Sox had an injury fright during the matchup on Friday afternoon against Baltimore Orioles.

The third Baseman Alex Bregman left the Matchup in the fifth inning after rounding off the first basis on a single clumsy. He pulled back into his pocket, which was called the timeout and went to the clubhouse with a noticeable lag.

Mac Cerullo from the Boston Herald reported that his injury was explained “right quadness”.

Bregman described the injury as a “daily thing” when he spoke to reporters after a 19: 5 victory against Baltimore.

“I rounded off the first basis and dug to go to second place,” said Bregman. “I felt my quad.

“All my strength is still there, which is good so far,” added Bregman. “At that time a kind of daily.”

Losing Bregman would be a massive blow for the Red Sox list. The 31-year-old plays with 11 Home Runs and 35 RBIs in 50 games with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs.

He was immediately replaced by Nick Sogard in third place in the game and the designated Hitter Rafael Devers was also able to switch to the third base when Bregman came to the injured list. Another replacement option could be Marcelo Mayer, who is the Red Sox No. 2 prospects and is currently playing in Triple-A for the Worcester Red Sox.

Boston is currently 25-26 and six games behind the first New York Yankees. The game against Orioles was the first of a double header against the team on Friday. Bregman's status for this game is not yet known.
