Fresno Police arrest suspicious in the southwest by Valley Crime Stopper's' TIP – GV Wire

The Fresno police arrested a man who was suspected at a shootout at the beginning of this month in the southwest of Fresno, the authorities announced on Friday.

Andy Ramos was taken into custody on Thursday after detectives ran a bicycle near Orange and Central Avenue for crimes for the criminal offense, the police said.

Ramos was arrested with the help of engine units, Southwest Patrol Officers and the SVB TAC team.

Ramos later confessed to shooting a man near Belmont Avenue and the Orchard Street on the evening of May 11, the police said.

The officials reacted to the area around 7.18 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was brought to the community regional medical center and listed in stable state.

The investigators received video surveillance material from the scene published on the social media pages of the department.

A tip, which was submitted via Valley Crime Stopper, helped identify Ramos as a suspect, which led to an arrest warrant.

Ramos was instructed to the Fresno County prison on suspicion of a murder in Fresno County.
