Teen, months after fatal shooting in Sun City Center

An 18-year-old sees himself months after a shootout before murder and other charges from the city center of Sun in Sun, say Hillsborough's MPs.

The MPs were called to the Cypress Mill community in the Camp Island Avenue Block in the Camp Island Avenue, after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Sheriff had specified. When the MPs arrived, they found the 18 -year -old Brandon Clark dead from a gunshot wound.

Detective Malachi Higgs identified as a suspect through “extensive investigative efforts”, said the Sheriff's office in a press release and was arrested on Friday.

Higgs, who was 17 years old at the time of the shootout, will be overlooked for a firearm and a minor in possession of a firearm because of the first degree murder due to the first degree of robbery, with a firearm or a deadly weapon. Records show that it was recorded without bond in the Orient Road prison.

An affidavit with further information was not immediately available on Friday.

“This arrest is the result of the tireless work of our detectives and the obligation to find justice,” said Sheriff Chad Chron Minister in the press release. “While nothing can undo the loss of the family of this young man, we hope that this development will bring a degree of closure.”
