The Amphitheatre gorge in the state of Washington is one of the best concerts outdoors

As part of the current 10-best series, USA TODAY published a new ranking of the best open-air musicians in the United States.

The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington was number 3 and was directly behind the PNC Bank Arts Center of New Jersey and the state of New York The Pavilion in Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

The gorge has long been a popular destination for music festivals and outdoor concerts in the northwest.

In the ranking, USA Today has advertised its “Incredible Acoustics” and “Beversenk of the most important concerts and multi-day music festivals” and referred to the gorge as “A Bucket List destination for fans”.

The 2025 concert season begins the Memorial Day Weekend and runs until the beginning of September.

The previous highlights in the line -up include Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan, Heart and Neil Young.

The Dave Matthew's band will play three shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Labor Day.

The Gorge Amphitheater is located in George, Washington – on the Columbia River near Quincy in the central part of the state.

According to the Gorge website, the event location is “one of the largest amphitheater in the northwest of Pacific”.

Tent and motorhome camping and “glamping” options are available for an additional fee.

Food and beverage sellers offer concessions on site.
