Highland Park Mother shows a message on the advertising table to maintain the solution for the death of the son

A mother who is looking for justice tries to send a message on an advertising table above the Davison in Detroit.

What you say:

Shamayim Harris, better known as Mama Shu, says she killed her son Chinyelu Humphrey four years ago. The shootout occurred in front of his family's house in the Avalon Village in Highland Park.

Mama Shu saw it unfold.

“I kept saying who killed my son. I want him to be examined for four years and none of the other options seem to work,” she said. “I'm still trying to get them to speak to the murderer. I know where he is. He's in prison. Only to go and examine.”

“He is in prison because of another indictment?” Asked Brandon Hudson from Fox 2.

“He is in prison because of another indictment, but my thing is that he is already connected to the authorities in court. We keep him there,” replied Harris.

“Give me a feeling for the emotions that you go through four years later?” Asked Brandon.

“There are just a few frustrations. I am disappointed that it actually takes so long,” she said. “And it really makes me ask that when a person sees a crime and she reports it, something is really done.”

Why should you take care of it:

Mama Shu hopes that the advertising table will deliver a solution. Mama Shu Avalon Village has continued to help in the years since then. It was a source of healing for the sadness and confusion that she feels about her son's unresolved murder.

Nevertheless, she keeps good memories that are close to her heart.

“I would just open the door hard, like boom, they open it,” she said. “Then I look over at him. Then he climbs out of his truck and then he will look over and do the same. We'll both nod. It's like a checkpoint, 'Ok, Chin mom, I love you.'

Mama Shu says she will keep the advertising table for 30 days and then for another 30 days if necessary.
